On Tuesday, two of Ali Kiba signees Cheed and Killy announced their departure from his record label Kings Music Records.
Ali Kiba signed the artists in an attempt to take over the entire Bongo music industry after they were touted as one of the most talented up-and-coming stars.
Following the announcement of their departure from the label, it was unsure whether the two had plans to launch their own label or maybe bad blood between them and anybody over there.
One of Ali Kiba’s managers, Aidan Seif said that he saw the news on Instagram and his efforts to reach out to them were futile because they had switched their phones off.
He also added that there was no sort of falling out between them. However, it is reported that the main reason for their departure was that the label had become notorious for seemingly forgetting about artists and had not offered them a contract.
A while ago, Ali Kiba said that all artists under his label are not under contract and are free to leave the label anytime.
These days, it’s looking really enticing for young artists to just stay independent and now Cheed and Killy are standing up for themselves and will do things in their own agenda.
Those still under King Kiba’s management are K2ga, his brother Abdukiba and Tommy Flavour.
