West Pokot residents demanded Gideon Moi to respect their Governor Professor Lonyangapuo
On Tuesday 8th,2020, hundreds of men and women in West Pokot county took to the streets to protest against Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and KANU Secretary General Nick Salat.
The residents who were riding on motorbikes carried placards demanding Gideon Moi and Salat to respect their Governor Professor John Krop Lonyangapuo. This follows after Lonyangapuo hit out at Salat for expelling KANU nominated MCAs from West Pokot County.
At a function in West Pokot county yesterday, Monday 7th,2020, the furious Lonyangapuo claimed that the KANU Chairman and Secretary-General were acting in impunity and took issue with them for misusing their powers to axe the MCAs unfairly for failing to pay Ksh.5000 membership fee. He threatened to ditch the party.
“Wewe uko na mama yako, mimi niko na mama yangu. Shauri yako!” Lonyangapuo reportedly told Gideon Moi.
