Fast-rising Kenyan radio Presenter Andrew Kibe was arrested on Friday evening following a heated altercation with three police officers.
In the video currently doing rounds on social media Kibe, alongside his friends are seen confronting the cops who attempted to arrest him at a car wash within Nairobi’s Hurlingham area.
According to Kibe who spoke out to a local tabloid, the officers wanted to arrest him and his friends without stating a reason why.
He added that despite the police officers being from Kilimani Police Station, they were booked at Kileleshwa Police Station.
“We were very many people, we were freed after paying Ksh 10,000, you know how it goes,” he explained.
He, however, confirmed that neither he nor his associates were subjected to any kind of physical assault by the Kenyan police infamous for brutalizing innocent citizens.
The video which was recorded by a witness showed the police officers raising their batons at the presenter as he appeared unmoved.

“You can’t just arrest people as you wish, tell us what we are accused of? We were talking with him nicely,” Kibe is heard in the video as he points at one of the officers.
“You’ve poked your nose into our conversation, step back,” the presenter addressed another.
The officer felt offended and pointed at Kibe with his baton, further igniting the radio presenter’s outrage.
“You are a Kenyan like me, don’t raise that thing to me!” Kibe roared in anger as he refrained from cursing.
