Members of the public have been warned of a fugitive cop who is on the run, wanted for the murder of his colleague.
Laikipia Sub-County Commander, Ancent Kaloki, termed the suspect, Titus Keen, as “armed and dangerous”.
Keen was on Wednesday, August 18, accused of shooting dead his colleague, Leonard Ojwang inside his (Keen’s) house at Doldol Police Station police lines.
The suspect fled with an armed AK-74 and several rounds of ammunition after the incident.
Kaloki believed that the fugitive officer boarded a motor vehicle headed towards Nanyuki- Nairobi.
“All officers to be alert and be on the lookout for the officer who is believed to be heading to his home within Elbisil area in Kajiado County
“Communicate any information regarding this case with minimum delay. Note that he is in civilian clothing,” Kaloki cautioned.
The police boss added that detectives have visited the crime scene and together with Crime Scene Support Services processed it.
The sleuths collected eight spent cartridges.
According to a police report, the deceased, Leornard Ojwang sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of his body including the head and chest.
The body was moved to Nanyuki County Referral Hospital Mortuary pending Postmortem.
