Raila Odinga hosted Gikuyu Elders in Bondo
On Saturday,10th October 2020, over 500 Kikuyu elders performed powerful rituals at Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga’s home at Kang’o Karajamogi in Bondo to curse the bad spirits as the race for 2022 General election top seat heats up.
Dressed in their traditional attire, this proved how improved the trip was to them. The delegation led by Jubilee National Vice-Chairman David Murathe, Nominated MP Maina Kamanda and former Presidential candidate and Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth started trooping in Bondo as early as 6 am donning their brown regalia.
Also present at the ceremony is Education CAS Zack Kinuthia. It is reported that there was a strategy meeting in Nairobi and Kisumu between select representatives of Kikuyu and Luo Council of Elders to plan today’s ceremony.
Raila, who skipped the National prayers at State House to host the elders arrived at the venue minutes after the Gikuyu elders in company with his elder brother Oburu Odinga.
It is said that the Luo elders and select political leaders will also make a trip for the second part of the meeting in Nyeri county on October 30.

There has never been a time in the history of Kenya that Kikuyu elders have performed such rituals. It's indeed unprecedented. This must be paining the Hustler strategists. pic.twitter.com/vPMjBHTwRL
