Wyre is one of the most celebrated and successful Kenyan artiste who was transitioned flawlessly throughout the years as music continue to evolve.
Speaking during a recent interview, Wyre said that his dad was his number one fan and he misses him a lot.
Wyre lost his dad in 2015 just a few months before releasing one of his albums. The ever cool and relaxed artiste said his dad played an instrumental role in helping him grow as an artiste.
“The last time I cried was when I lost my dad because he was my biggest fan. When I joined the music industry, he supported me fully and he did his best to mentor us in the industry by taking us to concerts. He would encourage us even in the house because we would perform for him.”
He says his father even helped him sell his albums to his friends. Wyre is set to grace the upcoming Morgan Heritage charity project Tomorrow’s Leaders Festival at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday 8th of June.
