Madaraka Day celebrations turned nasty after Nairobi Governor made nasty remarks towards Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris.
While giving his Madaraka Day speech at Pumwani High School in Pangani, the controversial Governor verbally attacked Passaris who has been criticizing his humanitarian efforts to provide food the needy in the society.
Sonko addressed an issue where Passaris claimed the governor often ignores her calls when they need to speak about financial matters.
Sonko tells her to take her “little money” to children homes while he takes his “large amount of money” to wananchi.
Addressign the issue on ignored phone calls, Sonko said “Kwa hivyo mimi sio bwana yako nitashika simu saa ile unataka (Know that I’m not your husband to pick your calls when you so demand).”
Esther Passaris couldn’t sit there while Sonko was verbally attacking her, and she stood and left the venue with Sonko saying “HAYA KWAHERI. KWAHERI YA KUONANA.”
