Maria is a popular TV series that has hit our screens with a bang.it airs every day from Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm on Citizen TV. The program features Maria a young girl from the Ghetto who uneducated but a dreamer. The TV show is produced by the citizen TV power couple Rashid and Lulu Hassan.It consists of new actors and actresses in the industry. Lulu was interviewed about the show and she stated that she wanted to bring a new look to our screens. They choose cast members who were new in the industry. She states that some did not even know they could act. They conducted auditions in various areas in Nairobi which was a huge success.
