In Matthew 25:35-40, Jesus teaches His followers that if they have fed the hungry, given water to the thirsty, invited in a stranger, clothed the needy or visited those who are sick or in prison, it is like they were doing it for Christ Himself.
Tanzania’s singer Harmonize who was just an ordinary boy trying to make ends meet and came from a poor background has decided to give back to the community launched a food programme offering free meals to struggling families .
Accompanied by Ilala District Commissioner Sophia Mjema, the Never Give Up hitmaker flagged off a food truck branded ‘Konde Boy Mgahawa’ that will be supplying free food for the next six months.
The singer took to social media expressing his joy at having finally actualizing the dream and went ahead to thank the area DC and the media.
To fill the hunger gap, Konde Boy said the truck will be giving out free foods only on Sundays but the frequency could increase should he get sponsors to fund his initiative .
The food was handed out to the gathered crowd in small bags labelled ‘Konde Boy Mgahawa.’
Harmonize’s initiative has attracted attention of his fans with congratulatory messages and for his humble nature .
