According to reports, it has emerged that William Ruto has incorporated former Senators Johnson Muthama, Boni Khalwale and Omar Hassan have been tasked to handle DP Ruto’s sensitive offensives.
Mr Muthama and Boni Khalwale both sat at the Nasa National Coordinating Committee which was led by Senator James Orengo that was seeing the day to day running of Raila Odinga’s campaign.
The Deputy President William Ruto has not stopped at that, he has included former President Uhuru’s Kenyatta’s 2017 chief election agent and former Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir.
It is reported that David Chirchir is expected to come up with a manifesto and other technical aspects of the campaign that will include ICT infrastructure that will monitor the electronic election.
Also at the centre of plans and strategies, William Ruto has approached his chief of staff Mr Ken Osinde who was a former Kenyan Ambassador to Germany. According to reports, they will be very useful in regards to coordination and strategy ahead of the 2022 elections.
Youthful Langa’ata Member of Parliament Nixon Korir will lead other MPs in working in the Jubilee-Asili which will be used as Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential campaign nerve.
To complement the efforts, Deputy President William Ruto has mandated Soy MP Caleb Kositany and Senator Kipchumba Murkomen to led the troops in the National Assembly and the Senate respectively.
They are tasked with not only mobilising support in the House but also coordinating responses and strategy on the national front.
His team has indicated that they are waiting for post-corona so that they can vigorously market Deputy President William Ruto all over the country.
“Those who think that Deputy President William Ruto is alone are very mistaking. He is not alone. I want to tell Kenyans that Ruto is not alone. He is only isolated. Post-coronavirus we will do our best to and put our foot forward to market him,” said Senator Muthama.
Deputy President William Ruto’s team is also focusing on regional networks in a strategy that will see politicians, clergy and the youth leaders deployed to appeal to small focus groups.
The strategy will also see grassroots mobilisers deployed in several counties that are likely to shift from supporting him come 2022.
