Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested outspoken Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua from his home.
According to the Daily Nation, the detectives raided his Sagana home in Nyeri county early Friday morning.
Gachagua, Deputy President William Ruto’s point man in the Mt Kenya region, said he is not aware of the charges against him.
He said he is being moved to the capital Nairobi.
On Friday, July 2, Gachagua denied links to the KSh 12 billion scandals that DCI boss George Kinoti says the MP’s companies were involved in.
