Gatundu Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has hit out at Laikipia Women Representative Catherine Waruguru following her recent move to ditch the William Ruto camp and rush to Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta’s welcoming hands.
According to Kuria’s explosive Facebook page made on Wednesday, the legislator turned against the deputy president after she cheated on her husband and sired a baby with a different man while still in their now-dead relationship.
Kuria revealed that the baby she delivered 3 months ago was sired by a Kikuyu man and not her Kalenjin husband and therefore she was bitter with Kalenjins by extension Ruto over her own tribulations.
Waruguru’s little secret, Kuria went on to add, was exposed after her partner demanded a DNA test upon the birth of their child.
The results came back negative and the lawyer husband kicked her out of his life.
It is not yet confirmed whether Kuria’s remarks are legitimate or he was simply lashing out at Waruguru for turning her back on Ruto.
This comes days after Waruguru was quoted saying that William Ruto is not fit for the presidency due to some of his habits.
While speaking to Inooro TV, Waruguru accused Ruto of being unforgiving and holding on to grudges for too long.
Who is this Kalenjin Husband?
In December 2017 Waruguru stunned Kenyans when she revealed that she was happy being a second wife.
This was after President Uhuru Kenyatta signed into law the Marriage Act 2014, which legalised polygamy.
“You saw the president signing into law the Marriage Act the other day. As women, we must refrain from being distracted by societal decisions,” she argued.
Despite her being a prominent public figure in politics, the identity of Cate’s Nanyuki-based ex-husband is still scanty.
According to his Facebook profile, Kiprotich William Kiget hails from Kericho County and is an advocate at the Nanyuki High Court.
He is an alumnus of Kabianga High School and studied law at the University of Nairobi, and later at the University of Mangalore, India.
Though he is less known to the public, Kiget hit the media waves in May 2018, when he was sued by an accident victim for Sh2.1 million as per media reports.
In July 2018, Waruguru and her husband, William, were turned away from a Kericho hotel for failure to produce a marriage certificate. Waruguru had accompanied her husband to Kericho, to visit her inlaws before the incident ensued.
