Kenya African National Union (KANU) secretary-general Nick Salat has taken a swipe at deputy president Dr William Samoei Ruto after his Nyamira youth empowerment tour was declared illegal.
DP Ruto scheduled Nyamira meeting was deemed illegal after National Security Advisory Council Chair Joseph Kinyua made it mandatory for any leader intending to hold any rally to notify police authorities prior so as to help curb chaos that might occur.
Salat has however laughed at the second in command recent empowerments saying it was purely campaigns and nothing like empowerments as claimed by Tanga Tanga allies.
He alleged that DP Ruto empowerments had already sent the country into panic mode telling off his hustler nation narrative. He challenged the DP to offer capital to youths to help them dwell in innovation and invention and not just giving them wheelbarrows and rallies.
“It is not about youth empowerment it is all about campaign. Tension at the Moment is not needed, aggression like hustler narratives are meaningless, youth need capitals that which necessitate invention and innovation. Youth are the engines of our economy, they deserve genuine incentives. They don’t need crusades and wheelbarrows,” wrote Salat.
