A 25-year-old man on Monday morning killed his 39-year-old wife at Malekha village in Malava, Kakamega County following a domestic row.
The body of the woman was found lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts on her head and her back. Residents said they were attracted by smoke that was billowing from the room and, upon breaking the door, they were shocked to find the two lifeless body. According to neighbours, they claimed the two were always quarrelling, sometimes leading to fights.
Police had recovered a sharp blood-stained machete suspected to be the murder weapon used to murder his wife before he later killed himself.
A week ago, police in Kakamega County arrested a man who is alleged to have killed his wife on Monday night following a disagreement over Ugali at Emukaya village.
