News that the late Zimbabwean businessman and socialite Ginimbi had bought his coffin just a few days prior to his tragic demise left many netizens wondering if he had foreseen his death.
However according to his sister Juliet who spoke to a Zimbabwean publication, her brother who was a fun-loving person, always reminded them how he wanted his funeral to be conducted.
She revealed that he had outlined his funeral’s dress code and a guest list for his burial ceremony. He further demanded VIP tents during his burial ceremony stressing how big the ceremony should be so that it reflects his ‘larger than life persona’.
“He was a fun-loving character. He always reminded us of how he wanted his funeral to be conducted. In fact, he had a plan and always said ‘ndiri big’, so make sure on my funeral, you do not hurriedly bury me,” Juliet told a source.
She added, “Take time, planning for it. Check my requirements well and one of the things is that I want everyone who will be at my funeral to be dressed in all white, no matter who. Please, make sure you emphasize that, remember, I am an all-white guy. The all-white should be on the day of burial.”
Ginimbi whose real name is Genius Kadungure died on Sunday morning along with his 3 friends. They were coming from a birthday party at his Dream Night Club when he reportedly collided with an oncoming Honda Fit and veered off the road into a tree before his Rolls Royce exploded into flames.
