Kenya’s freshest Instagram sensation King Kalala: King Kalala rose to fame when she advised women to learn how to play the field instead of crying over spilt milk
Fast-rising social media personality Prudence Tonui, better known by her stage name “King Kalala” might soon not only be rocking your screens but airwaves too.
This is after media personality Amina Abdi Rabar declared to have taken it upon herself to mentor and guide the way for Prudence.
Amina made the revelation to the now controversial social commentator when she hosted her on the midweek ‘#theTrend’ live session on Wednesday night.

The TV and Radio show host assured the husky-voiced Instagram personality that she will do everything in her power to make sure she lands a radio job.
“I have been calling everybody I know…and I will keep calling them…I promise you that I will get you on radio,” said Amina, further joking “sijui ata utanipatia salo yako ya kwanza.”
The Capital FM host then proceeded to ask King Kalala which radio stations she would prefer to work for and among the list of her top favourites were new entrants NRG Radio, Vybez Radio and long-time powerhouse Kiss 100 FM.
The rise of King Kalala
Right now, controversy sells and most content creators are well aware so they try their best to make it count. For long, Instagram has had one character most people loved to hate and that is none other than KISS FM presenter Andrew Kibe.
But alas! His brand brought rise to a female version of him that is just as savage as the radio host.
King Kalala has in the past couple of months drawn both love and hate from Kenyan social media users in equal numbers due to her stance on a wide range of less-talked about societal issues.
The beauty first became a hit when a video of herself advising women to play the fields like their male counterparts went viral.
She was not sorry for her words and instead, Kalala was proud of how viral her content went in just a few days.
In one week, her follower count on Instagram grew and the Instagram personality became a sought after source of advice and laughter.
Her character often comes off as tomboyish as she delivers hard-hitting facts coated with some foul language and unapologetic sentiments.
But Kalala has her girly side that is all sunflowers and roses. And she wears it like a crown.
Below are some of the most popular videos of King Kalala, who currently boasts over 40,000 followers on Instagram.
