Not many HIV patients are bold enough to go public about their condition for fear of stigmatization, being judged and losing friends and even families. For this reason, they opt to keep it a secret for as long as they can.
But 27-year-old Phenny Awiti chose to make her status known, using social media to create awareness about HIV/AIDs. However, what happened after she revealed her status is something she never expected.
Despite being a mother of two, both children being HIV negative, Phenny journey has never been an easy ride. Below is a painful story about her life, growing up as an orphan, being stigmatized and being rejected by dozens of men due to her status.
