On Saturday morning, Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris slammed Embakasi East MP Babu Owino after he threatened to “shave” his Kandara counterpart Alice Wahome.
Passaris asked Owino to respect women and reminded him that the act of shaving a fellow legislator would be classified as defilement.
“Babu respect women. You can only shave your wife not a fellow legislator, or any other woman without their explicit consent. Any action to the contrary will be an act of defilement I am extremely disappointed with this post. Pull it down. There’re boundaries we should not cross.”
In response, the former Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) Chairman has now told Passaris that he does not intend to further their heated conversation since, according to Babu, she is “in that time of the month” and “he won’t engage hormones”.
I know you are in that time of the month @EstherPassaris so I will not engage hormones

As expected, the explosive tweet quickly attracted all sorts of reactions as Kenyans followed in disbelief of how fast things had escalated between the two party-mates.
This is what some of them had to say.
Babu owino mtu wa mine,
You really marvels me.
Are yoh kidding!??
