Most married couples complain about their in-laws and the dislike they have towards each other. It seems that has been taken a notch higher by a mother-in-law from hell.
24-year-old Elizabeth called in during the infamous Patanishow program section on Radio Jambo asking to be mediated with her mother-in-law whom she claims has led to her losing her four children.
Elizabeth, who hails from the Kikuyu tribe from Central Kenya, is married to a Luhya husband. However, her mother-in-law was against the marriage, and wanted her son to marry from their tribe, the Abaluhya.
This is what Elizabeth told Radio Jambo host Gidi and Ghost;
“Nimeolewa kwa familia ya Waluhya kwa miaka sita na nimepoteza watoto wanne kuanzia mwaka wa 2015 na Jumanne iliyopita nilipoteza mtoto wa miezi miwili.
Nilikosana na yeye kwani baada ya kifo cha mtoto wa kwanza alidai kuwa mimi ndio nimeua mtoto na hapo nikazungumza maneno machafu, hapo alisema kuwa sitawahi pata mtoto.”
Elizabeth claims that she went for medical checkup together with husband and were told they are in good health and can bear children without any problem.
She also claims that her husband have assured her that he loves her and if they get divorced he will never marry another woman and might even commit suicide.
“Mama mkwe huwa haniambii hapendi Wakikuyu lakini yeye huambia watu wengine akisema ana prefer mwanawe aolewe na kabila lake.”
The mother-in-law identified as Florence could not be reached through the phone as the radio hosts tried to help the grieving mother who have so far lost all her children.
