Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke has donated the sum of N500m ( Ksh 135,566,464 ) to the federal government in support of the country’s fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Nigerian singer, whose real name is David Adeleke, took to his Twitter page on Tuesday to announce the good news.
He said, aside from his father’s donation, 6,640 Bags of rice would be shared out to all residents of Nigeria’s Osun State in a giveaway which would cut across parties and religious lines.

The Assurance hitmaker announcement comes days after Chioma Avril, his fiancee, had tested positive for COVID-19.
