While Harmonize’s Wasafi Classic Baby departure left many fans irritated, his longevity is proving more concrete than expected.
From his humble beginnings in Tanzania to breaking out into the mainstream, he’s become one of the hottest singers in East Africa. His Afro East Album arrived on March 14, 2020, featuring appearances from Khaligraph Jones, Yemi Alade, Morgan Heritage and other notable music heavyweights.
Thirty-six days after dropping the project, it would appear that it is still going strong. As of today, Afro East album has racked up over 5 million streams on Audio Mack. We can all remember on March 25, the album was pulled out on all several streaming platforms like Tidal, Amazon, Deezer, Yandex, and YouTube.
It’s another win for the Konde Music World Wide CEO, who has continuously set an example for the successes artists can experience when choosing to keep their catalogs outside of major label rotation.
Congratulations to Harmonize for this one.
