Gospel singer Jimmy Gait is set to undergo surgery in India after developing throat complications that have kept him off the musical scene.
The Furi Furi hitmaker has been battling with the complications for almost a year.
The singer took to social media to ask his fans for prayers as he will be travelling to India on Sunday. He will be in India for 15-20 days.
“I am going for treatment. I will be leaving for India on Sunday. I had been admitted to Agha Khan hospital for some days going for throat checkups. It has become so delicate and I need more tests done in India. The fact that I can’t use my talent makes me feel so bad but I am hoping for the best. It is has been over a year now fighting these complications. This has really affected my music,” said Jimmy Gait.
The singer also revealed that his family and friends will hold a prayer meeting for him on Saturday, at the After 40 Hotel here in Nairobi.
About two days ago, Jimmy Gait’s fellow gospel artiste Pitson also revealed that doctors had advised him to stop singing for the next two months after damaging his voice.
