Uasin Gishu Woman Representative and Lawyer Gladys Boss Shollei wedded her new husband of Caucasian descent over the weekend in Eldoret town.
This comes almost a year after divorcing her former husband Sam Shollei. The wedding took place on December 12, 2020.
Seems like as the nation celebrated Jamhuri day it was double merriments for the former Judiciary Chief Registrar as she tied the knot for the second time.
According to sources, the ceremony was presided by ordained clergy with all Covid-19 protocols observed.
It is also reported that less than five politicians were invited to the event. The occasion was a private function that was conducted in a secret location with those in attendance restricted from entering the venue with their cell phones.
Sources privy to the event also revealed that only one photographer was designated to take photos of the event.
In January this year, the vocal jubilee politician’s photo with her now Caucasian husband leaked online just two weeks after a nasty divorce from ex-Standard Group CEO and former husband.
The photos went viral and stirred a heated debate amongst the members of the public as to whether there was more to broken marriage than what met the eye.
Gladys’s ex-husband remarried journalist Faith Rono on Friday, January 2020 at a private wedding that was only attended by close friends and family of the two couples.
In 2016, Gladys filed a petition accusing her ex-husband of neglecting his responsibilities to the family and being abusive in the marriage.
Nevertheless, the court later ruled in her favor that she was allowed to keep their Kitisuru property as well their Usain Gishu matrimonial farm.
The Jubilee party politician was also granted custody over their two children. She however told the court that she will not be needing her ex-husband’s ‘help’ in taking care of her children.
