Top city lawyer Soyinka Lempaa was arrested on Wednesday morning by security officers manning the Times Tower building. He was arrested for taking photos of the building which houses Kenya Revenue Authority.
Human rights activist Alamin Kimathi broke the news on Twitter claiming that the lawyer had been transferred to the Anti Terrorism Police Unit headquarters.
Soyinka once worked for Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), before being fired over gross misconduct.
He, however, challenged his sacking in court and was awarded 2 million shillings for discrimination and unlawful termination of his job.
