DJ Evolve: “Yaliopita si ndwele”
Nearly six months ago, a fall between DJ Evolve and Emabakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino while in B-Club at Kilimani. The incident left the DJ shot in the neck by the ODM legislator resulting into him spending several months in hospital until he was discharged a few days ago.
Now in an interview with the Standard on Friday, June 19, the disk jockey is also known as Felix Orinda, he finally came forward to provide some insight on what went down.DJ Evolve seemed to extend an olive branch to Babu Owino and revealed that he has accepted the aftermath of the shooting incident.
“I have to come to terms with my situation. Whatever happened was unfortunate. I request Kenyans to pray that I recover fully so that I can continue entertaining. Yaliopita si ndwele. ” he said.
He added: “I’m glad and I feel hopeful. I can now see light at the end of this. Sometimes I feel my legs. That makes me know that God is working on me.”
On Sunday, 24th May 2020, Babu Owino sat for a heated interview ( which has been pulled down on their Youtube account) with Anne Kiguta on her K24 talk show, Punchline but ignored questions relating to the incident. Babu revealed that he couldn’t say much because the case is still before the court of law and accused Anne Kiguta of being in cahoots with the DPP in order to have him re-arrested.
