Kenya has in the last 24 hours recorded 699 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total tally of confirmed cases in the country to 25,837.
Speaking during the daily COVID-19 in Kakamega County, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases were recorded from 7,175 samples tested under the same period.
The CS also announced that 781 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally of recoveries to 11,899.
Unfortunately, 5 more patients succumbed to the virus, bringing the death toll to 418.
