Bishop J.J Gitahi urged Kikuyu Council Of Elders to stop fuelling chaos
Controversial Bishop J.J Gitahi has responded to recent comments made by Kikuyu Council of Elders over remarks made Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi and Emurua Dikir MP Johana Ng’eno.
Speaking to journalists in vernacular, the Priesthood Fellowship Church pastor bashed the elders accusing them of trying to aid chaos in the country. He advised Kikuyu Council of Elders to try and reach out to elders from other communities to see how they would partner to promote peace instead of fuelling political wrangles.
Bishop J.J Gitahi went ahead to give an example of Royal Media Services Chairman SK Macharia who the elders allegedly cursed for supporting Raila who is now in government warning that they will destroy the community.
“The council should talk to the politicians to tone down but not to threaten them. Some cases like that of Sudi can be solved by elders without involving the courts. Elders being involved in the matter is going to cause chaos among citizens,” Gitahi lamented.
The Kikuyu Council of Elders demanded Deputy President William Ruto to apologize to the President on behalf of his ‘attack dogs’, Oscar Sudi and Ng’eno. They further threatened to curse Ruto and his allies in case they failed to do so.
“We are giving the deputy president William Ruto an ultimatum of 7 days to apologize to the president and Mama Ngina Kenyatta. If Ruto and his messengers will not apologize, then we shall curse all of them and ask Mumbi to take them away,” they warned.
