Drama and chaos ensued at the Building Bridges Initiative rally in Kitui when Gatundu Sound legislator Moses Kuria was ejected out of the rally.
It took the invention of a member of the Jubilee Party security detail, Bill Arocho for Kuria to escape the wrath of his angry assailants. He was captured on camera protecting the MP from blows and kicks and later on leading him to safety.
Unknown to many, Bill Arocho Otunga, is a long-term friend, supporter and former bouncer for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In an exclusive interview with a local blog, Arocho revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta called him to thank him for saving Moses Kuria from the angry crowd.
“President Kenyatta is my friend. He called me and thanked me for saving Kuria from the crowd. The president says he is not happy with Kuria abusing him in public but we need to behave in a mature manner and not let him be attacked,” Arocho said.
The Jubilee operative went on to advise him to find diplomatic ways of solving any problem he might have with the Head of State.
Kuria arrived late for the event accompanied by several MPs allied to DP Ruto including Kipchumba Murkomen, Kimani Ichungwa and senator Aaron Cheruiyot among others.
