Bob Collymore’s body has arrived at the Hindu Shamsan Bhumi Crematorium in Kariokor ready for cremation.
Only family members and close friends have been allowed at the crematorium.
The Safaricom Boss succumbed to cancer yesterday at his home in Nairobi. He was aged 61.
His wish was to be cremated and the family has fulfilled it. Cremation is to reduce (a dead body) to ashes by fire, especially as a funeral rite.
The family opted for Kariokor because it takes a few hours to cremate a body compared to Lang’ata, which takes more than 15 hours to cremate a single body.
