
Award-winning gospel singer Mercy Masika has landed a lucrative job as the official goodwill ambassador for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The Mwema hit-maker is the first Kenyan to land such a lucrative position.

The excited singer took to her Instagram to announce the good news, requesting her die-hard fans to support her in her new course.
“I believe this role is given to us together to represent our own especially those that we are called to, the vulnerable, persecuted and everyone forced to flee. Did you know that Jesus was a refugee? Thank you UNHCR for this honor,” she wrote.
Mercy Masika is a perfect epitome of success. She has won several high profile awards for her numerous motivational songs. She is also the official Ariel ambassador, a popular washing powder made by Procter&Gamble.
